Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) is our approach to working with you as an individual, maintaining your wellbeing, respecting what is important to you and supporting you with what is important for you.
This is at the very core of everything about you and your time with Index Care.
- We support each individual differently, everyone is unique having different qualities and personalities, different needs and abilities.
- We will enable you to make choices about different aspects and issues that are important to you in your life.
- Our ethos is that all individuals are respected and supported to the very highest level of their need.
As everything that we do at Index Care, is with you in mind; from the initial Care Needs Assessment, to developing your specific care plan, you will be encouraged to make your own decisions.
Through the PCAS approach, you will be supported to gain daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, attending a gym or other leisure activities and shopping, along with other aspects of life on the road to independent living.
Careful planning and observation from your typical activities and interactions, means that our Support Workers can identify all the steps that you can manage for yourself, separate them from those that you need support with and the steps that the Support Workers will need to do with you on a one-to-one basis.
